Alas, it is an auto (for the wife to drive).

The hard start is on every start, hot or cold.

I'll check out the Haynes manual and the plugs. I am getting the service report from the Ford dealer mechanic that I bought the car from. So, I will go from there as far as any further maintanence.

About the DIC, that is a voluntary recall, so I can just bring it to any Saab dealer, have them check to see if it has been replaced and get a new one for free if it has not, right?

Thanks for the info, looking forward to learning more about the car.
