Viggen Antenna Trim?

On Viggens, there's a little rubber trim ring, oval shaped, around the base of the antenna, hiding the gap between the antenna assembly and the roof. At 148,XXX miles, mine is chipped and cracked, and about to fall off.

I figure the part is worth about $2, so I'd expect to pay about the dealership about $12. But they are telling me that the trim ring is not available separately. Instead, it's part of the whole antenna assembly, which they would be happy to sell me for $116!

So I figure my best option is to tack the thing back together with a few drops of black silicone sealant, and trying at the same time to fill in the chipped out places.

Does anyone have a better idea?
