In my opnion,

1) No, it's not normal. The clutch is stiff compared to a Honda, but not that bad. Chances are you just need a new clutch cable, but with 100,000 miles, the clutch, if it's original, has probably lost a lot of lubrication and is getting stiff.

2) Just don't run the car hard for the last little bit of your trip and you don't have to let it idle at all before turning it off. Idling for a minute or two was only necessary for older turbocharged cars that had purely oil-lubricated bearings.

3) No. These cars are very quiet when stock. You probably do have an exhaust leak.

4) Again, no. Possibly the throwout bearing or something in the transmission.

5) Not very, but it's not a bad idea. Saab recommends semi-synthetic in the NG900 at the very least, but a lot of us run full synthetic for peace of mind.

As for your pictures...

1) I can't say I've seen this before, but I bet someone else has.

2) Most of our cars leak there. That's the plug for where the distributor is on a N/A car. You can buy a new plug and gasket, but you have to take the valve cover off and have a tamper-resistant Torx bit to get the screws off of the plug, so most of us just live with it.

3) When stock, the boost gauge will just touch the start of the red. If it does momentarily go into the red, it won't stay there long, so it sounds like your car is working properly.

4) You'll have to take the cover off since something's probably bent or broken, but I bet it's no big deal.
