When I installed a rear sub-frame brace (not sure from whom, but there are many options out there) on my 96 900 SETC I couldn't believe the difference. It felt like the rear tires were flat, the back end was so much more planted. Cheap too, ~$50.
I also installed the Talafierro Saab 6-point brace. Greater expense, more hassle to install, but also a good purchase.
I think a steering rack clamp would help a lot too, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.
Best of luck and happy holidays!
