When I test my used '01 9-3 SE w/ 27k I was blown away by how fast it was. Long story short; in my car, octane is a big part of the performance and I'm sure the previous owner had a tank of 93 in it. I think I may have other issues and have into many of them including cleaning my BPV but basicly I'm disapointed with the on-again off-again nature of my boost in the 9-3. My Aero liked 93 octane too but I really notice it on this car. I commute 84 miles/day and just can't bring myself to run 93 all the time(can't get 91 and 89 doesn't work well either). My friend has an '02 SE and she runs the cheapest fuel she can find and gets boost to the edge of red all the time. My car surges and has wicked flat spots. While I loved the Aero and really like this car too, I'm about to go back to German because I just can't stand inconsistant performance and I never know what I'm going to get with these cars. Is it me? Thanks, C.
