Headlight adjustment situation

I recently hit a bad pothole and immediately afterwards noticed my headlights were shooting downwards rather than straight out. Nothing appears to be wrong with the bulb housing or lens. The white adjustment knob under the hood is for horizontal adjustment as far as I know, but of course I want vertical adjustment. How can I adjust them back? Is something wrong and needs to be replaced?
