This is not the timing belt, your car does not have a timing belt it has a timing chain that is not exposed and you can't see it by merelt opening the hood. What broke is commonly referred to as a serpentine belt, it drives your AC, power steering, water pump, etc. This is an easy DIY, buy the correct belt, remove the left front wheel, remove the inner plastic fender, pry the tensioner and put a drill bit in the hole, this will remove the tension while replacing the belt, start at the top, place the belt over/under the various pulleys, check this site, there is a diagram some place. Pry the tensioner, remove the drill bit, replace the inner fender, put the tire on, you're done, this is about an hour job, including jacking up the car and placing a jack stand, removing the tire, removing the inner fender, etc.
