when the dash goes out he car continues to run, or does it stall?
Not sure what different symptoms a failing ignition switch causes, but that would be my guess as far as components go.
You may very well need that number 9 hemistasis and use it to check the ground cable from battery to wherever (block or frame) or the power cable
(carefull here) - there may be visable corrosion.
How old is you battery?
If beyond 3 years might consider replacing, gonna be due before too long.
This problem been around since last summer? Not in the winter? hmmm
