Most do not replace any fasteners. You can use some loctite blue on the ball joint stud nut. No issues with the front axle nut either. You need to have the tire on the ground when you loosen and remove that nut. Or have an assistant to apply the brakes when off the ground. Loosen the strut top nut when the tire is on the ground as well. You can back it off, but keep full thread engagement. The nut will then see the spring force as you lift the tire off of the ground.
Get both front hubs in the air (good) to remove the strut or remove the sway bar from the control arm (best). Otherwise the sway bar will fight you when you try to get the ball joint taper out of the hub by pushing the control arm and ball joint down. You want the upper mount screws loose but not removed at that point.
The ball joint stud taper is a show stopper. Get it popped as early as you can as you will be aborting the job if you cannot get it free.
