Since your motor still moves I'm betting that either the cable has snapped or it has binded up. Only fix is a whole new regulator assembly as the regulator, motor, and cable are all one expensive assembly. Welcome to my world; 99 9-3 5 door with both rear windows proped shut due to broken cables.
