I just replaced my inner driver (passenger) on my 1999 93 this morning and driving back to Vancouver from Seattle I notice the vibration still there. there's a noticable vibration during acceleration...around 60mph but gets better as i level out at about 70mph. also, when a load is in the car, it vibrates more.
i have borbet wheels (16") with tires that have about 50K on them but have passed inspection and seem okay. the vibration is more noticable from the passenger side. about 1.5 months ago i had a nail in the passenger front tire and CAA (Canadian AAA) took me to a Shell service station where the boy took the tire off of the wheel to patch the nail hole. i think that the vibration started getting worse after that episode. i took the car to my indy in vancouver who said that it was the inner driver. so, i got that done yesterday but the vibration is still there. upon reading old vibration posts here on saabnet, i am wondering if that tire repair is indeed the culprit. should i take it back to the indy to check it AGAIN, now that the inner driver has been replaced? maybe i bent my rim (though the Shell guy said i didnt...but what does he know, he scratched my borbet pretty bad while taking the tire off...grr.) or something?!
what else should i do? any advice would be great!
Thanks,
Sandy
