Hi,
I posted before but it was in the wrong forum.
I have a 2000 93 Auto with approx 110M miles on it.
Last week Friday my car started to feel like it was going to stall out. It happened everytime I'd slow down and speeding up was a problem. To get home I had to use the sport option.
When I got home, I tried to back out of the driveway and everytime I put the car in reverse or drive it would lurch forward a several time then stall. Same thing in drive.
The funny thing is that the car idles grat in neutral or park.
I had it towed to the dealer. He called and said that the problem is in the transmission. The entire trannuy or this box he said controlled the auto transmission.
This car never really whined or cluncked before a gear changing. I've never heard of tranny failure this way.
When I had manual transmission cars, if I would let the clutch go too fast the car would stall. This is exactly what mine does.
Could it be an alternator.
The clutch (is there one on an auto?)
If its this bax are the expensive? (I guess I should pray that it is, because a new tranny would cost mthe most any other repair could be)
Please help
Thank FIG007
