99 9-3 Drivers Window

Recently I purchased a 1999 9-3 convertible on eBay. When I went to pick it up (and after I did all the paperwork and paid for it) the seller showed me how the top works... and in the process the drivers side window popped out of the front track. He said he just got it fixed the other day, and called the guy on the phone... who said he'd get to it in like four hours... I needed to get home, so I borrowed the guys tools, put the window back on it's track, put the window up, and made the three hour drive home.
Today I had to pull the door panel, and put the window back on it's track again... for the third time since I brought it home. Arrrggghhhh.
What the heck is causing this to happen? I can't see anything obvious, and it is driving me nuts. I can't really see anything physical there... but the more I think about it, I'm pretty sure it happens after I've put the top down, and then back up. There is that syncronized raising and lowering of all four windows that seems to be an automatic part of the process... and somehow I'm starting to think that it happens during that "All four down at once" cycle.
Any ideas? Is this a common problem with a known easy fix, or have I just purchased a maintenance nightmare?
