Based on my recent experience, you could probably get Genuine Saab to rebuild the engine with forged pistons and also get a reliable Nordic tune for not much more than the money you have allocated for this repair. Of course, you'd have to get the car to Springfield, MO in order to have them work on it.
My bill was more, but I had a lot more done.
I'd suggest calling Nick at Genuine Saab.
