Hi,

I have owned the car for a month and the damn CEL has been on for most of this time. The non-Saab dealer I bought the car from diagnosed it as gas cap vacuum leak (is the code that specific?). They have reset the CEL twice. We put on a used gas cap (which was in better condition than the old one). Each time after they reset it, it was fine for a few days before it came back on and stayed on.

I gather other causes could be the purge valve (difficult repair?) or a hose leak........before I take it to another garage, can anyone shed any light on what might be the specific cause?
