Hi All,
I'm about to replace the A/C compressor on my 2000 9-3 2.0T which was shot when I bought it. I'm comfortable with a/c work but have never done any on this car. The Haynes manual is useless in this dept.
Before I begin, does any have any tips/tricks or safety issues other than handling refrigerant they could share? Also, how much oil should be in the new compressor?
The system has been evacuated. After removing the belt, I assume I get at the compressor from the bottom and behind the rt wheel well paneling. It looks like there are 4 front-facing bolts holding the unit to the block, one bolt securing both a/c hoses, and one red lead with a connector for power. Is that it? Am I going to need any special tools or have a hard time getting it out? Any advice from experience is appreciated!
Andrew
