Viggen rims scratched by dealer ( a bit long...) Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Sat, 31 May 2008 20:57:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all, yet another issue, as always. I went to my dealer to get my tires installed, and in that process they scratched my rims. I complained to them, and they offered to refinish 2 of the 4 rims (one is brand new, It'd be ridiculous to refinish it...) I said no, as I've seen refinished rims and, well they never look as good as he originals. I've also read some posts here, and apparently the paint is not "EPA approved" in the states, and so the paint cannot be found. I wanted to get them polished by someone else, but I don't think that'll work out either. So, I've read a post here http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=155394 about someone having complained to saab usa, and they paid for the brand new rim. I'm in Canada (saab canada), and well I don't really know what to do in this rather frustrating situation, considering the rims were spotless. Is this something I should just have to live with (I give up with the stealership and arguing with them, they are stubborn idiots, don't even wanna give me my money back, just a credit) or should I do something more about this, such as contact saab canada? Do I have a chance with this? I don't have the dough to replace rims cause they got scratched up.
