If memory serves there are eight (8) screws that hold the dash in place. I found a schematic showing the location several years ago on this board. If I find it I will post a link. Most of the screws are hidden behind the stereo or other knobs. Removing the panel above the drivers pedals will make removing the dimmer, foglight and headlight switches easier.
The easiest way to remove the stereo is with a stereo removal tool which are nothing more than two "U" shaped wires. Some people have reported using long nails, but for $5-10 I bought the tools and found them handy over the years. When you put the U-shaped removal tool into the four (4) holes on the faceplate of the stereo it releases brackets holding the stereo in place. You can then pull the stereo out with the tools by using a little outward/inward force to keep the tools in place. Removing the metal stereo bracket in the dash is a pain, but needs to come out in order to access a couple of the screws. There are four (4) tabs that hold it in place and I use a flat bladed screwdriver to lift the metal bracket over the tabs. The SID can be popped out by pushing from behind so it's a piece of cake when the stereo is out.
Can't comment on the adhesives as I like my grey dash.
