I just did this to swap out the wood dash from my 1999 9-3 HOT to place in my 1997 NG900 that I am selling. I got the regular gray dash from my NG to place one of the carbon fiber overlays I picked up into the 9-3.
Dmitry's (DIP's) site, as is always the case, was extremely helpful. I have included the link below. Removal was basically all of the screws and pulling it out. The Jeff in ATL link will help as well. The hardest part was making sure all of the vents were connected when put back in place.
With the kit, I also received a 3m pen that was an accelerator I guess. First, I cleaned the dash with soap and water. Then used some denatured alcohol, or rubbing alcohol. Once dried real well, I used the pen... peel and stick.
Not as bad as I thought, and pretty straight. Good luck!
