I feel your pain as I have replaced about 6 of these since I bought my wife a 95 900SE convertible back in 2000. When I had the clutch replaced, my mechanic also replaced the clutch cable since they fail often with no warning. A must have when you own this car is a AAA membership.

Last summer I bought my wife a new 2007 Saab Convertible and took full ownership of her 95 Saab Convertible. I am in the process of a full refurbishment of the car and a few weeks ago bit the bullet and bought the hydraulic clutch kit from genuinesaab. I am planning to add that upgrade when I change my clutch out in a few months - or sooner, if my cable breaks - :)
