Thanks for the linki sincerely appreciate your attempt to help, but that won't help me; I really wish it was something as simple as the linkage. I aligned the shift linkage when I fixed the clutch, and double/triple checked it before I had the transmission shop look at my car. I'm 100% certain I have an internal problem; the transmission shop verified that. While driving with a blown clutch release bearing, and trying to downshift into third gear to pass, I broke whatever is is that holds the 3rd/4th gear shift fork to the shift rod; I actually felt it give way. I can usually get one gear or the other (the others work fine), if I shift carefully at low speed, so as not to put too much pressure against the shift fork. I don't know if this is just a shear pin, or what; I'm hoping somebody has some knowledge and/or information on the transmission internals. I want to try to repair the shift fork myself, but have not been able to find anything to guide me; nor have I been able to find access to the part(s) I need. Is there anybody who knows if I can easily access the shift rod and fork for 3rd/4th gear, and perform this repair without replacing the rod and or fork? Thanks!!!
