Actually I like to post the follow up's. It's my thanks to those who post and help me out - close the loop.

Probably the largest auto parts retailer in Canada is Canadian Tire. They sell their own brand of spiral (I think AGM is the correct term - absorbed glass mat) which is made by Exide. I picked their group 75 over the Optima because the technology is virtually identical but the post being centered and the height being shorter than the BCI group 47 height means it fit quite nicely.

So if your in Canada it's easiest to get the Motomaster Eliminator Spiral Grid Battery group 75. Otherwise the Exide Orbital Cycle Extreme-Duty Battery is identical. The group 75 battery also has about 30 more capacity making it great for colder climates.
