Do you not have a stock APC solenoid on your car? If you're overboosting it's because the boost control solenoid isn't doing it's job. The blow off valve is only supposed to activate when you take your foot off the accelerator to keep the boost pressure from slamming against the throttle plate and backlashing to your turbocharger.
