I pulled out my driver's seat to reattach my side panel (argh!) and noticed the seat bottom cover was needing attention, too. While stretching it over the clips, a relay came flying out. I don't know if it was in there in the first place, but it was obvious at least one blade had been folded over for quite some time.

Now, the heated seats have never worked on this car since I bought it 4 years ago. It came from San Diego, so I don't think it was a priority.

I refitted the relay into socket #2, and now am wondering about it. I know I have it in right, but is it controlling the heater? They're still not working, but I can work on that. But my Haynes manual doesn't have a diagram for the powered seats and I keep hearing about having "both" relays in.

Is it possible the power seats worked without the #2 relay in? Or am I seeing things?

Can someone clear this up for me?
