How many miles on the engine ? Might just need "heavier" oil grade. Like Ron stated, use an oil pressure gauge to be sure. Might just be a weak oil pressure sensor. Sludge has been a problem with some Saab's, where around town driving can be a problem with these engine . Even with regular oil changes. A pressure gauge will be the best visual test. There is a different oil pan thats custom made so an access plate can be removed and a shop vac use to remove the accumulated sludge from the screen. Without constantly removing the oil/sump pan.
