easy to tell too. Get the car up to speed, 50mph or so and put it in neutral. Then turn the wheel back and forth, you should be able to reproduce the noise. Noise when turning left = right wheel bearing and vice versa. Mine started as a hum and grew to a constant grinding. Good luck.
