a/c questions evaporator and oil level Posted by adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adam) on Mon, 6 Apr 2009 10:30:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
changed the evaporator today and expansion valve in order to fix a leak. When I opened the cover to the evaporator there was a little bit of water/moisture on the bottom. I'm assuming this is normal condensation and even though it drains some is always left behind, is this true. NO evidence of a water level/mark above about 1/8 - 1/4" on the old one, so it's not flooded with water.
Also the wis says to replace 90ml of oil when replacing evap, expansion, receiver/dryer. Is there a way to check the oil level. I want to make sure I don't have too much. I've always refilled with r134 + oil and am afraid that I may have a little too much oil in the system, I don't want to overfill when I refill it, but I don't want to underfill either.
any ideas
adam
