I'm planning on replacing the charcoal canister in my '99 9-3 as part of a long and expensive attempt at getting my P0442 CEL to stop coming up. I ordered one from eeuroparts. It looks like this:

From searching the board, it seems that Saab moved the canister at some point from the passerger front wheel well area, to near the fuel tank.

Right above my rear axle, behind the tank, there is a brick sized block with 3 hoses/tubes coming out of it...one of them goes up the right rear wheel well and appears to have a filter or something on the end of it. I am assuming that the brick looking thing is my canister. However, the canister that I was sent has a completely different size and shape.

I haven't taken out the wheel well liner in the front yet. Can someone tell me if what I'm looking at is indeed my canister and did Saab also change the shape/size of it at some point?
