No - this is not a post about the filter, or mold, or anything like that.
It might have been a moldy filter that caused me to turn off the recirc function, but it is the other smell that I am interested in. Smelled like the cross between burning rubber, noxious gases, terpentine, and dead rodents.
It's reproducable - at least in my car.
Turn on the ACC on a hot day. AC will be on. wait for the ACC to decide its time to recirc the air. manually override this by pushing the recirc button.
