On my 2001 9-3 2.3L it's a 4mm pin, not a 6mm pin that's used to lock the tensioner.
I was able to unload the tensioner by myself, whereas some instructions advise two people. I braced myself against the car, holding the strut brace with my left hand, wedging my knees between the tire and the fender, and then
I used a 10mm allen key (larger would have been better, but that's the biggest I have) pulling upward to unload the tensioner. I stuck in a 3mm allen key to lock it, because I had trouble sliding the 4mm key in.
pulled belt out. Now we'll see if I can get the new belt in without having to remove the front wheel.
The belt is 6PK2345 (MM) or 923K6 (inches)
