I have used Red Line MTL in my Viggen for close to five years and have never experienced any negative issues whatsover. The good folks at Scanwest Autosport in Seattle installed a Quaife LSD in my Viggen in the spring of '07 and they, too, used Red Line.
I once inquired about this very issue and the following represents my email exchange with Scanwest.
"Given your expertise with Saab transmissions (you installed a Quaife LSD in my '01 Viggen two years ago), I have a question, please, regarding transmission fluid. I have been using (with no problems whatsoever) Red Line MTF. There are those that argue that Saab MTF 0063 is superior. What are your thoughts?"

"I haven't heard much of anything on the saab fluid nor have we tried it. We have used the MTL and Redline's lightweight shock proof gear oil for years on customers cars as well as our long history of rally cars with excellent results. Redline has always had a good product that is well researched but I'm sorry I can't be much more help.
Thank you,
Craig Haugen

In truth, I don't think you could go wrong either way.
