Thanks for your help saabdoc.
We managed to find where it terminated under the exhaust manifold and created a new wire harness by soldering the two wires back together and extending the length so it didn't run the risk of hitting the serpentine tensioner again.
As soon as we hooked it back up and turned the car on the CEL went off and the engine ran much smoother.
Now it's just a matter of replacing the transmission mounts and getting the heat/ac fixed... There's always something.
