I changed over to my winter wheels/tires using exactly the tools that JMJ listed - it's not difficult at all, especially when you get in the rhythm of it. It took me half an hour, including trips back and forth from the basement since I can't store stuff securely in my garage.
An electric impact driver would definitely speed up removal of the lug bolts, but once they're loose I just straighten out my breaker bar and spin it like a screwdriver - it's quicker than a ratchet even. I'm almost tempted to add a rubber grip on the handle, as the polished chrome-vanadium steel is a bit slippery when held this way! I do use a clicker torque wrench for the final tightening, which makes it very quick to do the star-pattern torque sequence on each wheel.
Just make sure that the wheels are firmly seated against the hub before you actually tighten any of the lugs. I place the wheel on the hub and start one of the upper bolts to keep the holes aligned, but I still have to hold the wheel in place until I get one of the lower bolts snugged down a bit.
