The fan pushes in; you'll want to pull the ACC unit out to get access to the fan from behind. If you pull one or both of the seat heater switches you should be able to get a finger or two through to push the ACC unit out; it took nearly ZERO effort for me. FYI, you will want to disassemble the fan unit completely to clean all the dust/debris out of it. I put a couple drops of household oil on each end myself. It's been about nine or ten months and I've never heard another noise from my fan.
