I admit that all these things are my fault. Ok, here's the exact story as it happened.
I picked my car up from the dealer because I replaced the twice because I stepped on the key and damaged the transponder (yes, my fault). The 27 point inspection they did said I had a weak battery. I got in my car, it started and the SID said (somewhere around) 58 miles until empty. I drove approximately 15 minutes on the freeway (planning on buying gas at the next exit because I wanted to let the battery charge a little bit, because the car had been sitting unused for over a week) The car died and I pulled over. I had my friend bring me a new battery. The car did not start. We went and got some gas. The car eventually started. The next day it would start sometimes and I started my other post on this site about having starter problems. I had the car towed to a indy mechanic, he replaced the starter and it started just fine. Less than 15 minutes later I got a flat tire, the tire shredded off the wheel, not just a poke.
I do not habitually run my car out of gas due to the fact that I have never run out of gas before and I think most saab owners would say it is ok to wait until the next exit to buy gas when the SID reads 58 miles left. My guess is the dealer had the car idling for quite a while?
Yes, I still take full blame for everything, but I like the suggestion about going back to subaru.
Joe
