Thank you. Is it possible to detach the tonneau cover from the top motor(s) altogether? thereby making the whole setup manual? If I were to permanently lock the manual over-ride switches behind the back seats and near the right rear light, would I then be able to both pull up the top and lower the top as if it were a manual top? I can live with a manual top, but I would like the safety and the thick top of a Saab comvertible (my current car is a 9-5 wagon, which I'm keeping). What difficulties would I face with handling the top after I set the switches permanently to manual over-ride and disconnect the tonneau motor from the tonneau altogether? It will be my toy car for the weekends.
