2000 Viggen Vert - Airbag Light On Posted by Randy Thatcher [Email] (#22) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Randy Thatcher) on Mon, 22 Mar 2010 19:58:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 2000 MC Yellow Viggen Vert (55k miles) has been sitting dormant for a few months. I needed the car last week and the battery was dead. I took it out, charged it, then reinstalled. Upon reinstallation I fired up the car and found the airbag light on. I've been driving he car 6 days now since that chargeup and it's still coming on. It was never on in the past.
Is there anything about an extended period of dead battery causing something to go haywire on the airbag system?
From my searches on here it looks like someone with a TechII has to read the codes, give me a diagnosis and/or reset the light. Is this correct? Any other advice?
