The throttle body o the NG(new generation) 900 (1994-1998 and some 1999) is purely mechnical. The OG(old generation) 9-3 (1999-2003) have electronic motor driven positioning of the throttle body 'butterfly'. Worn or sticking throttle body control motors can cause some interesting issues.
