Okay, look I think I am misunderstanding something

When I am to turn the little star shaped so that the rotor turns freely, there can be SOME (VERY SMALL AMOUNT) of rubbing. So ridiculously small, that it rubs like once every 360 degrees. So small, that inside the car, I'd think "No, it hasn't touched yet."

Problem is now, the hand brake lever is so loose, even after 4-5 clicks it isn't enough to catch....which leads me to believe that if before, at 2-3 clicks it was TIGHT...then at NO clicks it MUST have been rubbing ever so slightly. Unfortunately, tightening the star-shaped wheel from that little access hole is quite difficult, and I'm starting to think I may (what do you think?) need to remove the caliper and rotor.

So, when you guys slacken the cable via this wheel, at which point do you stop? When you can no longer turn it by hand, you go a couple clicks before it (and obviously it would still rub, but you'd never be able to tell from inside the car).

Please help, I want to get this done. I was thinking of taking it to a "pro" but cmon, I should be able to do this!
