So I'm borrowing my #2 kid's '99 9-3 SE today and find that the outside mirrors won't adjust. As near as I can tell the fuse is fine, as if I'm reading the fuse panel correctly, it's also the one for the rear side windows and the sunroof which work fine. Daughter says "it's been like that for awhile."

Is this likely to be a dead switch, or is there something else I need to be looking at? It's dead on both sides, so I'm figuring the switch is fubar. HOWEVER!! unlike the ratcheted feel in my 9K when adjusting them manually, the finger adjusting technique on the 9-3was silent, so am I maybe missing something?

Any trick to the R&R on these? (So I don't break the plastic bits!)

Saw a coupla cars to pull parts from at the pick n' pull, so this is now on the to do list.
