Wonky Soft Top (Long)

I bought my 99 about 3 months ago; the soft top worked fine, if a bit slow.
I added hydraulic fluid, and noticed a slight leak in front of the drivers rear wheel. I added (good, bad or indifferent - please chastise me later) some Lucas Stop Leak. It only leaks with the top down; since the top is always down, it was probably always leaking :)
Last week, the top lowered fine, but really struggled going up. I cycled the switch a few times to get it up and locked.
Yesterday, I cycled the top to get the tonneau open and rear bow lifted. The outer cylinder on the drivers side was slightly leaking where the ram comes out of the cylinder. I cleaned the shafts, vacuumed out the debris, and cycled the top a few times (only to this point). I am also able to raise and lower the last bow by hand with little effort. As I move it, I can hear air in the line. Now, however, it appears the stop-leak has made its way to the cylinder since the leak is now much less and slightly pink.
Any thoughts? Shall I continue to run it and see if it clears up? Will the system self bleed?
