I would say take the parts off yourself and evaluate at that point.
The rear bumper is easy to replace. Just detach it from the wheel well trim and there are two large bolts under the hatch/trunk trim, 17mm I think.
depending upon how bad the hit was you might be able to get away with just the plastic skin and keep your styrofoam and metal bits.
The trim panels are a bit harder to remove than the tail light only because the bolts are harder to get at, and it is a pain because you have to use a wrench because the bolts are so long you can't use a socket. 10mm
The taillight nuts use a 10mm as well.
If your hatch/trunk lid close and lock easily I would say go right ahead and fix it yourself. Worst thing that could happen is that you need to take it to someone.
As it is I have taillights available (I'm parting out my car), black filler panels, and if you are local a dark green bumper.
If you need help from afar feel free to ask. The car I'm parting had a rear end hit too and I can get you back on the road. I would say you could get replacement parts (from me for example) for about $200-300 tops.
