Passenger side High Beam out/ Orange relay question...

The passenger side high beam on my Viggen is out. The car has an aftermarket Xenon kit, I purchased the car with it (but I have no idea what brand it is). I know that the high beam out is the telltale sign of the orange relay box going bad, but when I wiggled it with the high beam on, it didn't light up the high beam. So I then retrieved the orange relay box from my SE that has both high beams functional, and that didn't get it to work either. With the orange relay, is it the orange box that goes bad itself, or is it what the orange box plugs into in the fuse box?
Also, would it be odd if the bulb is burned out? From what I can tell, the bulbs have two different filaments in them, one for high beam and one for low. Could the low beam work with a broken filament in the high beam? And, excuse my ignorance, but if I want to unclip the spring clip, which way am I supposed to be pushing it towards? The left or the right?
Thanks for bearing with me. I have never done any work to my car by myself before, besides switching wheels.
