DIY front brakes, but on a Viggen. Need some help on Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Mon, 27 Sep 2010 14:49:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
setting the car up. How do you do this? I did the front brake on an SE, and what I did was jack the center nose (had to put wheel chocks on the back and use the handbrake). Lifted it up until I could put jack stands on either front side jacking point. The driver's side was hanging a bit lower, probably because the tranny is on that side, and boy was it close. Barely got it. It was really really tough I found; I maxed out my jack's lifting range and it was pretty high, I don't like to go that high. Kind of scary.
I can't imagine doing this on the Viggen. Last thing I need is to damage anything. Have any of you done it? Do you just do one side at a time? Even then, though you'd be working with a jack and not a jack stand.
Thanks in advance, Bender.
