From a European perspective I'd say all Saabs are pretty thirsty. Americans may disagree...
In my 2000 9-3 SE the fuel consumption in stop-and-go city traffic lies close to 20 US mpg, that's 24 Imperial mpg (and 11.8 L/100km).
Mixed driving is about 28 US mpg, 34 Imperial mpg, 8.4 L/100km, and for long stretches of highway/motorway driving it's about 32 US mpg, 38 Imperial mpg, 7.4 L/100km.
In very favourable conditions I've reached 36 US mpg, 43 Imperial mpg, 6.5 L/100km.
