Lubro Moly 5W-40 would be a better choice but I used 0W-40 too in my 1998 non-turbo. Oil analysis showed decent results with low wear metals and good TBN retention. Subjectively, the engine ran a bit louder with LM 0W-40 than with LM 5W-40.
My favorite oil for this car is Castrol 5W-40 you can buy at PepBoys, Advance Auto Parts, etc. Best oil analysis results and best subjective feel by far. Mobil 1 0W-40 is surprisingly mediocre in comparison.
