This is odd. I agree that the total price, while not cheap, is probably fair. You're in a metro area, not dealing with a shadetree $60/hr indy.
However I am surprised that the indy-dealer total is only $160 as the parts price difference is about $300. Typically they charge the same labor hours or the indy charges few hours. And the indy's rate should be slightly less.
This means one of the following:
1)Indy can't get as good of prices on part as eeuro--likely
2)Indy is marking up their part a lot more than the dealer
3)Indy is charging more labor than the dealer
You should confirm brands and perhaps mention this to the indy to see if they might rethink their labor cost. Maybe the indy would let you bring in a part (but they won't warranty the job if you do that). Eeuro charges $229 for part 4729596 (Nissens) vs. $526.85 dealer list for genuine saab.
