It is pretty much the same situation when I put the old one back in. Part of my frustration is that it was more of an annoyance before I got the new switch because everyone was working fine except the CEL light was coming on once in a while, but the car didn't go into limp home mode or anything and was working fine.
Another thing is that my reverse lights go on and off like they should with the new switch...on into reverse, on for reverse, off out of reverse. I posted a fairly long thread before and ended up getting a new switch because I was convinced it was a bad switch. Now the new one doesn't seem any better and it is actually worse...at least with the "old" new switch I was able to start the car and could have gotten it to the mechanic.
Any more thoughts/suggestions!! Thanks a lot for replying!
