I had to replace the WP about a year ago at 89k miles ('01 SE Turbo). This being my first Saab I didn't realize that you had to remove the entire until and then take the impeller off. I tried to remove just the impeller and it got pretty frustrating. You do have to move the WP out of the way- it would be even easier if it was removed. If the car has turbo then you also need to remove a down pipe and you need to loosen the coolant line from the WP to the under side of the turbo unit at both ends. It's a banjor screw and I ended up removing it from the WP side and loosening it on the turbo side.
