Hydraulic Clutch Feel

I just got back from driving my brothers 98 900 SE, and the first thing I noticed when I got in was how much effort the clutch pedal took to press compared to my 92 900T, even though they're both hydraulic. It probably took at least twice the effort to push compared to the brake pedal. I know all clutches feel different, but is this normal of the ng hydraulic clutch?
Other than this pedal feeling the clutch engages/disengages fine. Any input appreciated.
